To protect and safeguard yourself and your PT/Fitness Instructor and ensure you are correctly prepared, informed, and ready for each training session, the following points need to be in place and READ by you before you commence training with SMASH'IN-IT FITNESS.
Kindly note that these points are in conjunction with and in addition to your PAR-Q and Consent Form.
· Eat and hydrate well before your PT session/appointment/SMASH'IN-IT FITNESS CLASS, otherwise this could hinder your performance, make you feel dizzy, weak, and unwell and even cut your training time short. Your PT/Fitness Instructor will immediately stop training you if they feel you are not in a fit state to continue and there will be no refund for this.
· Wear – loose and comfortable activewear/sportswear plus well-fitted trainers/sports footwear.
· Arrive 10 minutes before each PT session/appointment/SMASH'IN-IT FITNESS CLASS.
· Should you arrive late for a PT session, your PT can only train you for the remaining allocated time slot.
· Bring a bottle of fresh drinking water, a sweat towel, and weather-dependent attire; rain jacket, extra layers, and/or sun cream, and summer hat/cap.
· Work hard at your goals including in between sessions with any extra SMASH'IN-IT “homework” provided by your PT.
· Your PT will give you 110% and expect you to give the best you can at every session.
· Kindly assist your PT in the set-up and at the end of each session with lifting/tidying away the fitness equipment.
· Nutrition plays a big part in gaining the best physical condition. To obtain your goals, you must eat and hydrate well for fuel pre- and post-exercise, to provide your energy to last the session (as mentioned earlier), and to aid recovery/repair for your muscles, amongst many other physiological benefits.
· Your PT can assist w/ nutrition at an extra cost. Alternatively, it is advised to reach out to a Dietician who is scientifically and lawfully trained in all matters relating to food, diet, nutrition, etc…
· YOU have to work for YOUR goals - with the above points in mind, if you do not eat a well-balanced diet, complete your SMASH'IN-IT “homework” in between sessions, and train consistently, you will delay your PT programme deadlines, goals, and general fitness progress, and possibly plateau/regress.
· Listen to your body during sessions, and if you need to, inform your PT/Fitness Instructor that you wish to stop, or pause … your PT/Fitness Instructor can only observe but will not know unless you verbally inform them of any discomfort/pain.
· Drugs & alcohol – do not take drugs or consume alcohol prior to/during your training. Your PT/Fitness Instructor can refuse to train you if they believe you are under the influence of either or both as this will make training dangerous for your PT/Fitness Instructor, fellow class members, and yourself. Dependent on the situation and, at your PT’s/Fitness Instructor's discretion, this might prompt your PT/Fitness Instructor to permanently stop training you with no refund.
· Be respectful to your Personal Trainer/Fitness Instructor and refrain from swearing at any time.
· Be kind and listen to your Personal Trainer … who is there to help you!
· ANY disrespect and/or abuse will not be tolerated and your PT/Fitness Instructor will cease to train/refuse your entry to join classes indefinitely! with no explanation nor refund and, if necessary, report the incident to the police.
SMASH’IN-IT FITNESS will treat all information obtained and recorded on all PT individuals/group members/class clients as strictly private and confidential and will ensure that it is safely and securely stored, in accordance with the Data Protection Act. No information will be shared with any third party without receiving prior written consent.
